Beat the heat with Fenesta: Does the New Advert merit credibility?

My first reaction to this ad was LOL.

LOL for a couple of reasons:

  1. The attempt to show that having Fenesta Doors and Windows is a better solution than having ACs in the house to beat the heat
  2. The logic that dipping oneself in a water-filled bath tub is better than having ACs in the house to beat the heat

Look at the advert yourself to get a sense.

First and foremost, lets give them some credit for the good things:

  • The ad is short and very clear in its messaging: the offering is doors and windows for buildings. The problem they are tackling is heat inside the house by providing ventilation solutions.

But to me the good part stops there.

I find no reason in the advert to believe their claims. There is no feature or offering shown in the advert which tells the audience why Fenesta is the right choice. The ad makers do not even have the courtesy to mention in what manner does Fenesta actually beat the heat in a better way.

I am not into real estate and I do not have any experience building houses, but even as a layman, I would wonder what kind of doors and windows would be good for the house? Especially if we are fighting extreme weathers?

Maybe more insulation? Maybe no leakages? more tight closures? No creaking sounds? Better finish? Premium wood for long lasting doors and windows? There are probably more such things that an end user or someone who builds can come up with.

So, bottomline for me: This advert is a complete waste of the brand’s budget. It is purposeless and the ad makers were lazy thinkers.

The only good thing that can come from it is maybe recall for the brand, if that was the only purpose. But then again, to make an advert for it, when there are n number of ways to create brand recall? Once again that is just lazy thinking.

If you ask me, after seeing this advert, I would say the best way to beat the heat is to get yourself a 1.5 ton split AC from any good brand like Haier, Samsung or Voltas. I say 1.5 ton because for mid sized rooms like the ones in Indian homes, that size is enough. Otherwise it would be too cold.

Haier is even offering an AI Climate control Smart AC. The good part about this AC is that it adjust the power based on the heat load ensuring efficiency and performance.

Or you can opt for Voltas 1.5 ton AC. It offers similar features, at a more affordable price. Like wise, you can also get any LG or Samsung ACs which are generally priced on the higher side. But hey, you do get better brands for better quality assurances.
