The technology that is used to communicate with the general public and offers to reach the masses is widely called Mass Media. It is the source that is commonly used by the public for their news and information.

The major mediums of mass media are:

For example, FMCG brands usually communicate through the mass media mediums because they offer communication to wide network which puts their product in the awareness set. All brand communications on mass media are termed as Above the Line (ATL).
